goes, feel free to add:
1. Ability to tolerate other people's perception of you as
someone who wanders through the woods aimlessly for hours at a
time.
2. Able to tilt head back to extreme position without discomfort
while briskly walking through rough terrain without a stumble
3. Able to spot a potential champion while talking with a friend
and driving 75 mph on the highway
4. At slower speeds (35-45 mph) able to do intense gawking with
only slight tire excursions off the pavement
5. Can talk passionately about crown structures
6. Keeps list of top 10 favorite trees she/he like to re-measure
often
7. Has been searching for years to find a practical application
of college trigonometry

Begins, over time, to exhibit involuntary simian-like sounds and
postures.
9. After many, MANY years, begins to become fond of Buick luxury
cars.

You've given us a good start. How about:
8. In pursuit of a big tree, able to plow through mountain
laurel and/or rhododendron like a tank.
9. Able to leap over short shrubs with a single bound, but
sometimes requires two.
10. Can quote big tree lists backwards.

Alternate
rules 8 and 9 for short people like myself:
8. OR can scurry underneath the underbrush without loosing the
contents of
ones pockets.
9. OR is able to duck under fallen logs at without slowing ones
pace en route
to "the big one."
