Left and Above- A reserve just south of Lexington. Though not was glorious, they represent color in an oak-dominated forest growing on limestone soils of the Inner Bluegrass. BTW, this forest, though mature 2nd-growth, is less than 20 miles from the earliest settlements in KY and the second largest city in KY.
