ENTS:
Sheree Brown, a new member, asked me to post her
first attempt at writing poetry. I say WOW! Keep it up,
Sheree. Keep it up!

Winter Tree
by Sheree Brown
At river's side, December night
A lonely poplar splits the sky
Splintering the moonlight's shine
Showering the ground with silver shards
Stark black branches reach and curve
And span in graceful arabesque
Breathless winds allow their sway
And whisper secrets of the night
Glitter-powdered fallen snow
A covering carpet round the tree
Protects the promises of earth
Til spring allows their fresh release
