Here are some photos from a show of my tree photos in a local
gallery
in Boston:

The Shagbark Hickory and American Beech are in Forbes Woods, Milton
Massachusetts. I believe Bob Leverett surveyed these trees, I think
the beech measured at 96 ft, the shagbark is a gorgeous and
considerably tall tree, don't know the height

Andrew, Nice photos! I also really enjoyed the way you framed them.
The Shagbark is my favorite Hickory. This fall I plan to measure and
Photograph a some Hickories in central Ms. They can get quite large
down here.

Andrew,
Very nice presentation. I really liked the way the paintings were hung. How did you come to show your photos in the gallery? I added a page about it in the ENTS website if that is alright.
Ed Frank
Thanks Ed, that's fine to put whatever you'd like on the ENTS site about the show.
I'm active in a local group called JP Trees (Jamaica Plain is a neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts), the group originally formed to oppose removal of urban trees during development projects and is now active organizing volunteers to plant trees in peoples yards and in public places in the city. We started the Tree Art Project with some JP Trees members to increase public awareness of trees and their importance in the urban environment. We proposed the show to the JP Art Market Gallery and they were glad to do it.
