When I saw the Kloothey Creek Tree last November it had significant
crown die back and looked to be shorter than 200'. The lightning
scar
from several decades back was plainly visible. It was a huge tree
surrounded by industrial clearcuts. It doubtless would have been
more
protected from storms if it were part of an intact forest.
