Measured another Live Oak in Biloxi yesterday, a multi-stemmed
tree. The
tree is growing in an open setting at a small older subdivision
located
near Edgewater Mall. All the limbs of this tree grow along the
ground,
many Live Oaks due this and it is way cool! The tree is growing
approx.
400 yards from the Gulf of Mexico and had about 10' of saltwater
under
it during Hurricane Katrina. CBH-22'11", Spread-120', and
Height 47'.
Making it the new #20 on the list.

Next
week I plan to meet with a co-worker in
Slidell, La., he is from N.O. We plan to measure some Live Oaks
in the
Garden District. Some of the Largest Live Oaks in La., are
located here
and I can't wait to get down there. Ed, I'll send some photos of
the
Edgewater Oak. Bob, how bout some GUMBO, and Mudbugs!
