Subject: "species & acreage" index
Ed,
We've been able to document 45 native woody species at Cook Forest.
We've
measured 43 of them. We've yet to measure speckled alder & silky
dogwood.
There very well could be an alternate leaf dogwood and northern
arrowood at
the park, but I can't visually draw one from my
"archives". The park lists
8500 acres on its website, but this is a rough figure. There has
been no
release of information concerning actual acreage after recent land
acquisitions.
