Have you or other ENTS been to Gypsy Woods, which is in the
Philadelphia
suburbs near King of Prussia? The former owner who donated most
of the
small 10 acre tract to the Natural Lands Trust for preservation
was telling
me that there are 170 foot tulip trees there (I don't know about
accuracy
of these measurements, or whether they were done with old or new
methods). He is the same one who owns the elm forest in western
MN that I
described a few weeks ago.

proceed west on Gulph Road to Gypsy Road. After about 1/2 mile
turn left
onto Gypsy Road. The preserve is 1/2 mile on the left.
Total Preserve Acreage: 9
Natural Features: Wooded hillside and stream valley.
Wildlife Habitats: Mature upland and riparian forest
provides habitat for deer, fox and a variety of small mammals,
amphibians and birds.
