Chinkapin at Paris Woods

ENTS,

Yesterday I got the urge to get out into the woods but lacked the time
and gas to go anywhere of distance so I decided to do a closer look at
the forest that surrounds my home, probably about 5 acres or so. No
really big or unusual trees were found but I had to take note that
some of the Virginia pines were sizeable. Probably in the 100 foot
range. This tract of woods ( And my home ) is located between Deep Gap
Rd & Paris Farm Dr which is located off Upward Rd between Dana & Flat
Rock outside of Hendersonville NC.

ENTS,

Another addition. Chinquapins are common in Paris Woods. I uploaded a
pic to the file page. I found no American Chestnuts there.
