Folks
Man!
I almost had two new NC Champion Co-champion incense-cedars (Calocedrus
decurrens) today. However, one is the tallest I have ever seen here
in the east. I was driving to a hemlock job in Saluda, NC
(Pearson’s Falls- yes, Ed and Jess, I got a Rucker there for a
future post) and a totally emergent conifer caught my eye- then two.
I vowed to get back after the job and measure them, and I did. Those
upturned limbs are SO cool!
