Here is just one example of the amazingly tenacious Catalpa trees at Martha Furnace, that you would think couldn't possibly still be alive, yet are. I think they are so cool. Catalpa bignonioides. I hope I'm not over-using that term "tenacious", but what else applies to such trees? They just continue living no matter what, it seems.
