After photographing the cedar
swamp, seen in my last post, I drove some of the residential streets
in Egg Harbor City. First I found this pretty big tuliptree, which I
found to be very picturesque.
Then behind someone's house there were all these Turkey Vultures
roosting in two trees. A man came out of the house next door,
because he was curious what I was doing. He says they are there
during certain times of the day, every day. I know they are
literally everywhere in South Jersey, so they weren't a surprise to
me.

This tuliptree is the largest
street tree I've seen in Egg Harbor yet, but I don't think it's as
tall as either of the last two I showed you.
By the way, someone earlier posted a picture of an owl (which I
thought was very cool). What a coincidence. When I was hiking the
dirt road that I mentioned in an earlier post today, I heard an owl
during part of the hike, though I don't know what kind.
Enjoy the photos,
Barry
