This is not as big as the one
I found in Estell Manor on Saturday, but it's still uncommonly big
for the Pine Barrens. I got out of work today at noon, stopped home
and picked up my digital camera, and then after a couple of stops
elsewhere for photos, I went to a site about a mile and a half from
here, to hike a dirt road through the woods. I wanted to take some
PIne Barrens snow pictures. I also wanted digital photos of the big
tree.
So here it is. As I say, it's not record size, but still a biggie.
Enjoy,
Barry
P.S. We now have about an inch and a half of snow, unless it's been
snowing while I've been in the house, in which case we might have 2
inches.

ENTS,
Here is the second biggest Pitch Pine, though actually there are
many the same size so far. It is 6'1". This one is along a dirt
road/trail, less than 2 miles from here. Within 30 or 40 feet of it
there's another that's also 6'1".
