ENTS, Measured a Live Oak in central Jackson Co., Ms., on the 12th
of Jan. Located on Mr. Kell Martins Farm, he has 90 acres about 10
miles north of Ocean Springs. My barber told about this Oak sometime
ago I just now got around to measuring it. Mr. Martin was very
interested in what we are doing with trees. As are everyone I deal
with, it's amazing how so many people what me to discuss what we at
ENTS do! Anyway there are to large Live Oaks on his property.
CBH-22',
Height-63' and Spread-117.
The other Oak was 18' CBH so it didn't
make my 20' minimum, but still was a large tree. I'll post some
photos. BTW, Mr. Martin was 90 years young and was telling me about
when he landed at Normandy, June 6 1944. WOW! Larry

Larry,
Thanks for continuing our live oak mission. What a fabulous tree.
Would it help if I sent you a spreadsheet in which you can plug the
measurements that you take? The volume of the modeled area would be
automatically calculate the volume. I'd be mighty pleased to do that
if it would help. I don't know why I didn't make the offer sooner.

Larry,
Mr Martin and his live oaks reminds me of 92 year old Mr. Hannah and
his big post oak. Our seniors always should be valued!
