Heidi,
Today Monica and I went for a walk in Graves Farm and I
took a few photos. I am attaching them. I also modeled the
Graves Pine (the big one for volume) back in April. It is
one of Massachusetts 500-cube pines. The spreadsheet shows
the results. The trunk and limbs hold about 570 cubic feet.
For a long time I've wanted to contact each of the big
owners of conservation lands and do some formal site
documentation along the lines of what I do on the DCR
properties. So far, I've done Ice Glen, Bullard Woods, the
Bryant Homestead, Petticoat Hill, Bartholomew's Cobble, etc.
but only two Mass Audubon properties, namely Arcadia and
Wachusett Meadow Wildlife Sanctuaries.
