Live Oak - Adaptive Use, Savannah, GA Will Fell

This morning I stopped and snapped this picture in Savannah. Back around
1980 will David brushed the GA coast, this large live oak up-rooted and
toppled into the front yard of this residence. The homeowner discovered he
could still drive his car under it and perhaps unwilling to give up the
shade of this old oak, put a steel pole under it to help shore it up and
almost 30 years later the oak is thriving and lends a certain unique
landscaping touch to his drive.
