Friday Feb. 20- Will, Bob, Ed, Andrew, etc climbed the Champ Loblolly,
and the other big Pine next to it, several of us went on a recon with
Marcus. We really didn't have time to measure but I did what I could.
We traveled a small loop 2 or 3 miles then came back to the Champ. I
have never seen so many large trees in one place. I did measure a nice
Swamp Chestnut Oak, Sweetgum and Big Bald Cypress.

Swamp Chestnut Oak H-124, CBH-16, Sp 90'.

Sweetgum  H-130', CBH-14' 6" Sp 69'

Congaree has some giant Cypress, Tupelo Gum, Pine, Sweetgum,
Cherrybark, Swamp Chestnut Oak, Overcup Oak, Willow Oak, Sycamore,
American Elm. etc. We got back to the center and had a good Shrimp
Creole.
